The Tower of London is made up of multiple towers. The first tower ever built there was the White Tower. It was used as a prison. The second tower ever built there was the Bloody Tower. The Bloody Tower was used also as a prison for the more serios prisoners. Each room in The Bloody Tower would represent different time periods. When the tower was finish being built the tower's first prison escaped from the Bloody Tower, his name was Rannulf Flammbard. The night of his escape he was at a dinner in his room then escaped out of the window. The Tower Green was were all the people were executed. The most famous execution there was the execution of Anne Boelyn. Anne ws the wife of King Henry VIII, and was executed for having a girl instead of a boy. Back then it was comman to not want a girl because they could not rule as well. The tower of london was first built for King William. He had it built as a home base. At first the tower was built as stone, but then it was inproved to limestone to make it more sturdy. Later the tower was used as a prison. Queen Elizabeth was held in the bell tower my Queen Mary. The Tower of London was important to many Kings and Queens.
